If you want to master the art of applying false lashes then you’ve come to the right place! This article will tell you what to avoid and how to achieve that perfect and voluminous lash, ideal for your night-outs, but for your 9-5 job as well!
Make sure you have your favorite lashes with you, along with some
- small scissors
- transparent or dark glue
- your trustworthy mascara.
Remove the lashes out of the packaging and the box by grabbing them with your tweezers, pulling at the outer corner. Always avoid the inner or middle portion since they are a lot more sensitive and prone to damage. Also, if you end up ruining the outer portion that is fine since you can always trim your lashes towards the outer corner.
Measure your lashes and make sure that they suit your eye shape and your eye length. If they overlap the outer portion of your eye take your scissors and cut them at the outer corner. You will approximately need to remove 2-4 lashes from the end.
Take your glue and apply it by making thin dots along the lash band. Wait about 15 seconds for your glue to become tacky and then proceed with the placement.
Hold your lashes with tweezers at this point and slowly place them on your eyelid. Look down and make sure you press the lash deep against the lash line and all the way to the outer and inner corners. For some women, the easiest way of application is by starting in the middle, then moving the lash outwards and then in the inner corner.
Press down your lashes with your fingers and give them a slight push. After you are sure that they’ve dried down go for your mascara. Connect your natural lashes with falsies and make sure that there are no visible gaps between them. Apply 2 generous coats and don’t forget your lower lashes as well.
