Whether you’re looking for the highest rated tech gifts this season or just interested as a techie looks at for the holidays, here are some of my favorite picks for 2018!
It is so much easier to use then plugging in to the mini USB socket that always seems to come unplug or wear out. I keep it on my desk most of the time. It makes it easy to keep my phone charged. ADAPTERS: An adapter is NOT supplied with the Yootech charger. To support fast charging rates listed, you’ll need a QC 2.0/3.0 power adapter rated at 15W or higher. I do not have this need, so I haven’t felt too much need for this. This charger works for the newest iPhones (My iPhone 8 still does too!) as well as Android phones, so you won’t have to worry about remembering which phone your techie has!
Philips Sonicare 2 Series Rechargeable Toothbrush Premium Bundle or Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 4100
You’re probably looking at me like… um, a toothbrush? Well oral care is important too! I’ve had a Philips Sonicare toothbrush for almost a year now and my dentist has VISIBLY noticed a difference in me more efficiently brushing all around! The premium bundle of course includes toothbrushes. I’ve included the latter option for that #singlelife friend in your life 😉 More importantly though, most dentist recommend an electric toothbrush as usual brushing more often can make you forget to brush your gums, your molars, etc. Health tip of the day!
This is a multi-OS adaptive and compatible device is great for several operating systems and it takes much less desk space. Some prefer the round pretty standard keys, and while this is not a preference for mine, being able to be flexible while remote is incredibly valuable! (This works on mobile devices too!)
This is my favorite tech find of 2018 and I’m shocked I didn’t find it sooner! As many of you know, I’ve recommended the Bose sports headphones in the past and while those deliver nothing but excellent quality sound, I wanted a backup and cheaper alternative for the times that I am cooking, going to a public place where I do not want to freak out if something gets lost and this was that find! I’ve found this newer one more reliable, but the older one does the job too! It’s sweat resistant, and the wire going around my neck doesn’t bother me that most of the time too I’ll use these to fall asleep to podcasts! Did I mention it’s $27.99?! It’s great quality for the price. Comes in both black, blue and red.
For the person in your life that has gone to the dark side… The cooler, mysterious counterpart to BB-8, BB-9E is a dark droid from Last Jedi movie and if anything, is a no-fault gift for the person in your life that loves Star Wars. You can drive it with your Force Band or smart device, use the Sphero Edu app and learn how to program in 3 STEM activities and just watch it do cute stuff! You can also get: Sphero Droids R2-Q5 App-Enabled Droid, BB-8 Special Edition with Force Band and BB-9E App-Enabled Droid with Trainer, and BB-8 Special Edition with Force Band and BB-9E App-Enabled Droid with Trainer
These have become all the rage and they’re low maintenance, fun to switch up and surprisingly low tech but all the techies love it! Hang it up on the wall too! I love this one specifically because it also includes emojis, which make it a little more fun!
Things I’m Still Loving…
Both are much more affordable and have a thinner band option than the Apple Watch, alerts me when I get a call or text and of course the fact that it’s not the “newest” one means that it fits most people’s budgets. Bonus shopping tip: Want a warranty? Amazon offers the best packages to go with the new Fitbit and more! Don’t need the warranty? I was able to use a Bed Bath and Beyond coupon in-store with 20% off! Great for the people who missed the Black Friday and Christmas sales!
